Resources:

The targets for the year are to give every swimmer the opportunity to reach Surrey Standard or above.

Cranleigh swimmers work a 12 week cycle.    Aerobic work makes up 80% of all work for under 15 year olds.

Swimmers work on technique and skills throughout the 12 weeks.    Race, pace and speed work is covered towards the end of the period.

Swimmers who are on ar near to Southern County or National times are given the opportunity of additional pool time.

Qualified coaching staff, backed up by a strong committee, help give the swimmers the chance to achieve their goals.    In the last 2 years this has produced a strong, competetive club.

Open and team galas are offered to all swimmers, giving them the chance to qualify for their chosen Surrey or Southern Counties events.

For swimmers who are working towards Surrey events, the programme encourages full participation in our training programme and enables competitive participation to build confidence and ability.

With just 12 weeks to achieve their targets, swimmers are encouraged to train the hours and enter all galas offered to them.
